Answer: Definitions and Components of a Strategic Plan Taking a tour of definitions of various authors, we find common elements that bring us closer to the idea of strategic plan. These elements are: there is the concept of an environment, that is, a set of conditions outside the organization, to which it must respond. Some of these conditions are negative (threats) and others positive (opportunities). MISSION: To be a public space for dialogue and freedom of expression with a preferential look at the most vulnerable sectors, to build a critical citizenship that generates changes towards good living. VISION: It will be a sustainable means of communication that sets agenda in public life, and is a national and international reference in communication for good living (Ansoff, 2014). Our Vision as a company is to always be at the forefront of regional television, being a means of communication recognized, loved and respected by the community. Always go forward in the television industry to the level of national and international standards, focused on highlighting the quality and relevance of its audiovisual production, thus managing to face the markets and deliver excellence in customer service. MISSION The mission is the raison d'tre of an organization, it is the element that defines it, distinguishes it from others and contextualizes it in relation to what its environment has dele gated to it, which is nothing other than SKY tv mandate. A purpose statement is a single sentence that is declarative and summarizes the specific goals and topic of a document in an organization. A mission statement on the other hand summarizes the organization strategic goal or mission in both long term and short term. For SKY TV, the purpose statement is to be the best channel to focus on that focuses on sports entertainment and brings value to the sports world. Its main focus is rugby although many other sports like football and tennis have become increasingly popular (Rotha?rmel, 2017). Values The values that guide us and are pillars of our organization are part of the spirit of ITV Patagonia and its workers. Our values are: Promotion of Regional Identity in sports Promotion of pluralism, objective information and regionalist values. Promote local sports content while upholding integrity in sports broadcast. Encourage sports honesty. Honesty- Acting with consistency to generate trust and credibility Tolerance, Harmonious coexistence between different sports groups to foster development of sports content. To know these values, an analysis of the environment must be carried out. Management must also carry out an analysis of the current situation, in order to determine its position in the environment and its quantity of resources and to recognize its weaknesses and strengths. In addition, the organization must have the image of its future (vision) and establish basic strategic goals or objectives. The highest level objective is usually known as the mission. Objectives Developed Large viewership- global viewership by sky television makes it competitive and people subscribe to the sports channel television. Increasing its viewership through constant marketing and advertising increases the global viewership. Partnerships- SKY TV can merge and partner with other stations to increase its viewership. Partnerships make the company stronger. Increasing the content- as a sports channel, many viewers will go for it as a complete package for sports entertainment. Its main objective would be to increase the sports content. Increase the revenue- by having more subscriptions, SKY TV channel focuses on increasing its revenues hence increasing its profitability. Market leadership- due to a lot of competition from rival tv stations, SKY sports has developed a strategy of being a specialist in sports content (Steiner, 2014). In the world of communications we want to consolidate ourselves as the preferred medium for its innovation and quality in the creation of contents marked by regional interests and with emphasis on the values of pluralism and objective information Key internal and external stakeholders to accomplish the objectives Shareholders- the shareholder goal is for the value of their investment to be maximized. With this in mind, sky tv has to increase the profitability of the company hence enabling the shareholders to get maximum value. Management- the management and the executive board will also use the financial statements to accomplish the objectives. Suppliers- they supply the required items for the tv station to be operational, they should also be used to set the objectives of the company. Employees- they carry out the day to day operation and therefore are the primary objective setters of the company. Communication Strategy Strategic plan analyze decisions and actions that an organization carries out to create and maintain sustainable comparative advantages over time.
